Oklahoma City is the birthplace of Kevin Samuels, where he attended Millwood High School. After graduating High School, he studied chemical engineering at the University of Oklahoma but could not graduate due to cancer at age 21.
After working in the marketing industry for several years, Samuels started his own image consulting business in 2013. He become very popular on several social media platforms. He accumulated 1.4 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.2 million followers on Instagram, and thousands on several other online platforms like Twitter and TikTok. According to the New York Times, he built an image as a "plain-spoken, hypermasculine authority" who promoted "strict gender roles."
Samuels gained traction in mainstream hip-hop culture by interviewing Nicki Minaj and T.I. and appearing on No Jumper, Joe Budden TV, and VladTV. Samuels made a cameo appearance during the episode "Rich Wigga, Poor Wigga" of the television series Atlanta in 2022. In February 2022, Samuels appeared in a music video in which he acted as a therapist and dating coach for rapper Future on the single "Worst Day." He also interviewed popular Instagram models like Brittany Renner and reality T.V. stars like Tommie Lee. Several prominent guests, such as Minaj,[12] Marlon Wayans, and Tamar Braxton, supported his work.
