Brajesh Ugra: Bilawal needs to know that India has no desire to talk to Pakistan
Published at : December 25, 2022
Brajesh Ugra spent almost 40 years in corporate life (IT). He is semi-retired now. He lives near Princeton in New Jersey, an hour south of New York City. He was born in Lucknow, but grew up in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh from where he graduated school and university. He comes from a Kashmiri Pandit family—one of the very first lot who migrated from Kashmir about 300 years ago during initial the Islamic conversion—along with Nehrus, the Saprus the Katjus etc. No wonder he speaks excellent Urdu.
He has a deep interest in India's independence movement and the creation of Pakistan. His mother's family had settled in Lahore where she spent her childhood and later moved to Amritsar. He is an avid reader of Dawn. He says: "I follow various podcasts from Pakistan to gather perspectives with an open mind that I would otherwise not get - even from my Pakistani friends."
