A few weeks ago, I told you that I was remodeling our bathroom and today I'm excited to share a large portion of the work I've been doing in here!

I shared the bathroom vanity build here: https://www.woodshopdiaries.com/diy-bathroom-vanity-double-sink/

And I shared how I transformed the corner closet into open shelves here: https://www.woodshopdiaries.com/how-to-turn-a-closet-into-built-in-shelves/

But today I'm sharing how we transformed our existing walk in shower into a new, modern shower with a bench seat and full length shelf. Plus, I'm also continuing the vanity project by sharing how we installed the top and the sinks with help from our video sponsor, DAP Products.

Now, I know you may be wondering why we replaced our large tile shower...and while it LOOKED fine at quick glance, there were a lot of issues that needed to be addressed--like incorrect floor sloping, cracked and missing tiles, rust stains from galvanized pipe, and some large gaps that were never caulked around the top.

Ultimately, we decided that we'd prefer to just start from scratch and actually make this shower smaller to keep things easier to clean and maintain. A lot of hard work went into this project, so I wanted to make sure it was properly protected. I used DAP Advanced Modified Polymer (AMP) Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing Sealant to finish up the shower and provide a 100% waterproof seal.

I hope you enjoy watching this shower build come to life!

Grab more project details on the shower here: https://www.woodshopdiaries.com/diy-shower-remodel-modern-walk-in/

Then, I'll show you how we used DAP DynaGrip Mirror, Marble, and Granite to install the new granite top and ceramic sinks into the vanity I built several weeks ago!

NOTE: Some manufacturer's also recommend using clips/brackets in addition to adhesive to install tops/sinks so check manufacturer's instructions before installing your own.

This bathroom is really starting to come together, and I'm ready to soon share the full reveal (and some built ins!) so stay tuned!

A lot of research went into this project, so before starting your own tiling or shower project, I encourage you to research what's best for your application.
