Contemplating the Word of God

Three years ago, Pope Francis declared the 3rd Sunday of the year as "Word of God Sunday" - a time to read, appreciate and pray with sacred Scripture. We have great models of those who embraced the Word of God, and Fr. Steve in partiuclar highlights St. Francis de Sales, who stressed the importance of prayer and reading Scripture. Fr. Steve suggests the practice of "Lectio Divina" as an aid for delving deeper into scripture to contemplate what it is that God is calling us to do.
