In this episode of Third Eye, Senior Journalist and Founder The Public India, Anand Vardhan Singh talks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi who suddenly repealed 3 Agri Laws without any prior notice, against which farmers in large number are protesting in the outskirts of Delhi for the last 1 year. As PM Modi urged the farmers to end the protests and go back to their homes, farmers are still continuing with the movement. They are protesting on the Singhu Border, Tikri Border, and Ghazipur Border of Delhi. Sanyukt Kisan Morcha SKM held a meeting and decided to continue the farmer’s movement until their other demands are accepted. Legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price of their crops is one of the main demands they have written in a letter to Prime Minister Modi.
Farmers are keeping all their protests and programs planned and in this series farmers gathered in Eco Garden of Lucknow, calling it a Kisan Mahapanchayat. They have reiterated that the farmers’ movement is not going to end until the laws are rolled back on the floor of the house and other demands are met. Anand Vardhan Singh analyses the reasons why the trump of Narendra Modi of rolling back 3 Farm Bills was missed and why people do not believe PM Modi anymore.
