The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety will expedite the verification and approval procedures for oral COVID-19 medications.
They will quickly and thoroughly verify the safety and effectiveness of the drugs... that will be brought in from overseas.
The government is currently negotiating to secure the products developed by Merck.
The U.S. FDA is reviewing granting emergency use approval.
South Korea's budget to purchase the pills... is reportedly around 30 million U.S. dollars.
